My music video focuses on the Great Depression, capturing both the deep desperation during the 1930s and the strength people found through hope and community. Using different AI tools, I was able to demonstrate this visual and emotional story of how America struggles but never gives up during hard times.

  1. Script Development: I used ChatGPT in order to develop the lyrics that reflected the historical events of the Great Depression. These lines focus on unemployment and the perseverance of this time. After a couple of rounds of drafting and once we found the most appealing lyrics, we created the actual “song.”
  2. Audio and Music Creation: In order to generate the actual soundtrack, I used an AI tool called Suno AI. I focused on finding a perfect tone that matched the “mood” at the time. I felt the perfect tone was really important since I was going to be able to set the emotional tone and connect the visuals to the story’s rhythm.
  3. Visual Design: In order to create the images, I used Gemini. I put in my lyrics into Gemini and “ask” for help in order to create an image that would give that emotional feel. After I had my images, I used Vidnoz Gen for some images to create movement inside of them, giving them more realism.
  4. Editing and Assembly: After I had my music, my images, and my soundtrack, I put it all together in Davinci Resolve. This is a free tool that helped me put everything together. I was able to make my images move from side to side and do close-ups, which helps my video in a way that I would focus on small details in my video. I used this app to trim and time my soundtrack with my images, which helped make it more accurate.

By combining these tools, I was able to bring history to life in a modern way. Dust and Hope combines creativity and technology to show that even in the hardest times, there’s always a bit of resilience and humanity.
