This infographic was designed to show the significance of cellular protein targeting and its crucial role in supporting normal cell function. We would like to acknowledge the researchers and educational sources whose work helped shape our understanding of protein sorting, vesicular transport and the issues of protein mislocalization in disease. This provided us with a scientific foundation in order to connect core cell biology concepts with real-world relevance, such as Alzheimer’s disease. We would also like to thank our materials and visual references for supporting us well within the organization and providing a clear format for our audience. This project overall helped reflect and learn how complex cellular processes really are and their importance.
