A Journey to Forgiveness: How do I be me?

Jordan Robbins

Hi, I'm Jordan Robbins, a STMU Freshman! I was born and raised here but since I'm a military child I was also raised in the country towns of Germany (Kaiserslautern aka Ktown). After moving back to the states, I realized that things were a lot different than what I remember--mainly the people. I lived in a hotel for 3 months in Killeen before we finally found a home. After that, the hardest stages of growth hit my life through education, friends, communities and environments. But even through those hardships, I'm here and I'm striving. I want my infographics to reflect my growth and journey through all stages of my life and I hope you do see that!

This infographic is quite unique and interesting, and I enjoyed reading through it. its a very hard thing to do, Learning how to manage your life and your connection with God, and it was very comforting seeing how you went through it in your life/perspective.. This is not a common topic, but it ought to be discussed more. I really like how you included images of yourself, no matter how you felt about them. Fantastic work!

I learned about the author as an individual through this article. The concept of judgement and how it can shape a person is a topic that needs to be discussed more in society. I really enjoyed the visuals used in this article it really added to the overall appeal of the infographic. I learned that the author is really in touch with her faith. If I could ask one question, it would be what prompted the author to write about this particular topic. Overall I really like this infographic.

Jordan, loved your infographic!! It inspires me to keep building my relationship with God because He is the only one who truly understands me completely. It also encourages me to not be guided by people’s opinions. The overall aesthetic presented is really appealing and it matches perfectly with the topic discussed. I really loved how you included all your pictures and explained that the purpose of them is to show that everyone is imperfect and in the process of personal growth. This message is powerful and relatable and ties the entire infographic together beautifully.

Hi Jordan! This infographic is very unique and clever, and I loved reading through it. Learning how to navigate through yourself and your relationship with God is so important, and you portrayed your journey very well. This is an issue not many people talk about, but it should be talked about more. I also love how you added pictures of yourself, no matter what you thought about them. Amazing job!

First, I want to congratulate you for being so brave and sharing your story! Second, your infographic about your journey through depression touched my heart deeply. The visuals and words together beautifully convey your struggles and triumphs, the pictures are a beautiful touch and the fact that they are filled with different emotions makes it even better. “Culture fuels our insecurities” is such a powerful sentence. The honesty and rawness of your journey shine through every detail. You’ve poured your heart into this, making it a truly impactful piece. I really enjoyed reading it!

I loved the way this was organized! From how God has shaped you to you thriving in life is amazing. This infographic is so personal and highlights how everyone can go through struggles but that doesn’t mean we cant overcome them. I loved all the images you used of yourself; it allows the audience to really connect to your story and view life through your perspective. Very well done!

Very well written and organized! I was able to learn so much more about mental illnesses and how certain things can affect individuals, such as going to the gym.

  • Hello! I like how this infographic shows a different perspective on how culture and social media can make people feel insecure about their bodies. I like how it also shows how faith in God can help people feel loved and accepted for who they are which is very powerful. I like the simple design with the picture of the hand and the clear message. It’s easy to understand and makes a strong point about the importance of self-acceptance.

This infographic does a good job connecting with the biblical/religious critical lens. The title is amazing and intriguing since it implies that forgiving yourself is necessary in life. The inclusion of very private photos from the camera roll is incredible since it shows that we should not hide our true self with alter ego self’s. The percentage statistics also adds awareness on low self-esteem issues that are critical in modern days.

  • I loved loved LOVED getting to read this infographic but not just learning about the way people’s commentary can hurt someone but getting to know you and part of your story. Thank you for sharing and God bless!! 🤍
