Currently, there is a decline in the retention of Hispanics and Latinos in higher education. “Confronting Systemic Racism in Higher Education” analyzes testimonies, fiction and non-fiction literary pieces, and past research to cultivate an understanding of how discrimination and the current traditional education system hinder Hispanics and Latinos from pursuing and finishing higher education. Additionally, this research will present multiple avenues higher education administrations and professors can implement into their institutions to aid Hispanics and Latinos throughout their journey in higher education.
