I would like to acknowledge my professor, Dr. Shackleford, for her guidance, support, and dedication throughout this Cell Biology course. Her teaching helped me develop a deeper understanding of important concepts such as cell cycle checkpoints and their role in maintaining proper cell function and preventing disease. Through her lectures, assignments, and use of the textbook Essential Cell Biology, I was able to build a strong foundation in cellular processes and their real-world applications.
This project reflects not only the knowledge I gained from the course, but also the critical thinking and scientific communication skills that Dr. Shackleford encouraged us to develop. Her emphasis on connecting biological concepts to real-world issues, such as cancer, made the material more engaging and meaningful. I am grateful for her support and for creating a learning environment that challenged me to grow academically and think more deeply about the subject.
