Acknowledgments:

I would like to thank my family and friends for their constant support and encouragement during this research process. I want to also thank my professor, Dr. Lori Boies. Her assistance in editing my research, and motivation to publish, has encouraged me to move forward in my journey into becoming a nurse one day. Her encouragement has helped me to see the importance that nutrition plays in our everyday lives, and I hope my research will be helpful and useful to others now, and in the future.

I was born and raised in the city of El Paso, Texas. I am currently a sophomore here at St. Mary's University, previously a Biology major, and currently on the Pre-Nursing track. I am applying to the new Nursing program, that is said to start in Fall 2025. With a nursing degree, I want to become a Pediatric or NICU nurse, to help children and their families in all the ways I can. Apart from my research for my Nutrition class, I am currently working on research for my History for Haters class with my professor, Teresa Van Hoy, which will be donated to the San Antonio African American Community Archive and Museum (SAAACAM).

This infographic is amazing! There is great information that could help individuals who want to diet, giving them a place to start. Good job!

  • Hello! I like how this infographic shows the reader the importance of different food groups work together to keep us healthy. It highlights the importance of fruits, vegetables, protein, grains, and dairy. I like the design because it’s visually appealing and easy to follow. I also appreciate the use of images and simple language. It’s a great way to learn about healthy eating habits without getting confused with all the information.
