This infographic on “Power Imbalances & Toxic Mentorship” by Samantha and Bianca describes an interesting topic that I, frankly, have not considered. Overall, looking at this infographic, it most definitely brings about new thought about how mentors could potentially be harmful to a mentee and lead to resulting negative consequences due to harsh guidance. I would like to state that I love the layout and design of the infographic, as it highlights the focus/topic and break the information into very consumable sections of information. If I could suggest one aspect of improvement, it would be to increase the font size of the text ever so slightly or to summarize the text if at all possible. Of course, this suggestion is a matter of subjectivity, but overwhelmingly, this infographic is interesting, impressive, well structured, and skillfully made.

This Inforgrafinc was wonderfully made. It illustrates and depicts great visuals over toxic mentorships.

I have never taken mentorship into consideration, probably because I have never had one myself. Unless you consider that one employee who shows you what to do at a new job, but I think the author means an actual relationship you form to prepare for a specific career. I can see why the author decided to create this infographic, I have met those people (trying to show you around work) who try to manipulate you and give you wrong information on purpose.

Great Infograph! I love the images that are included next to the information because they capture what that section is discussing. Learning abut power imbalances and how toxic mentorship can deeply impact someone’s work environment is something that we should take into consideration since many of us are going to be working with mentors in the near future or even are mentors.
