This article is a thought-provoking one. While some of us may have heard of the story of the German man who put an ad out for someone to volunteer to be eaten by him, the story of his life and the incredibly harmful presences and influences that plagued his developmental years not only paints the picture of the man who would grow up to harbor cannibalistic tendencies, it also once again raises the age-old question of innate morality vs corruption of morality, and again presents us with a case that might never be definitively decided.

This article was gross yet fascinating. It is amazing how the life you live as a child affects the life you live as a adult. The lack of being nurtured and loved psychologically effects the way you view love, and acceptance. As a child I too enjoyed reading fairy tales. Although the story of Hansel and Gretel scared me the idea of a human eating another human was and still is terrifying. To be fascinated with this as a child is a definite red flag, there is something psychologically wrong with Armin. Ulla on the other had was a terrible influence on Armin. I cant say I truly believe he would have made the same decisions he did if he wouldn’t have met Ulla.

The most interesting part of this article was the fact that the other man had consented to being eaten, which makes me wonder if he was charged with more time or less time since technically he did say that he was okay with it. It also makes me wonder and proves the point how a lack of care from his parents lead to him being this way, and if things were different in his childhood if this would have never happened.

The mere fact that Armin’s hobbies as a child included him running around pretending to be the witch that attempted to eat Hansel and Gretel in the fairytale book already speaks a whole lot about his character. Something I found quite intriguing about this article as well is the fact that it included why such fairytales were so popular in these times and the backstory to their creation or about the army during these times to inform the readers of the outside world and not just inside of the killers mind. When Ulla is introduced into Armin’s life, it is no wonder he grasps onto the certain vocation that she instilled in him. It amazes me to see just how one action or one person in an individual’s life could cause such a huge impact and one that could potentially result in the tragedy of not one human being but a vast amount. What truly impacts me the most is the fact that the mind can be this incredible and sick while these people desperately try to fight their own emotions. It was a very well put together article that I thoroughly enjoyed.

This article was very interesting and well written. The though of a person eating another human is strange but yet intriguing. Once I read the part that talked about him running around as a child pretending to each Hansel I realized that this type of obsession has been a part of him since a young age. I was also surprised that he was so open about it, talking in group chats and asking if a boy between a certain age was willing to be eaten.

Although I was intrigued, I can say that even though I had the context to his darkness and confusion, it was certainly discomforting. This is a story told about a person who had serious buried issues with his sexuality that he never received help for and unfortunately, it ended up involving another person with similar issues. However, I believe this article gave a great unbiased account on a situation that is crude and even gory. I hope that it will bring light to struggles similar in magnitude so we can better learn how to constructively help people like this.

The title of this article alone was definitely enough to grab my attention. Cannibalism has always been this strange concept to me because while I know it’s real and people used to and probably still do practice this the whole concept of it in general just seems like a work of fiction to me. Like a person who fantasizes about eating people 100% sounds like a character you’d see in a book or movie. But to think that someone like this actually exists really churns my stomach in a bad way. The article however was great don’t get me wrong; It was amazingly well written and everything so keep up the great work!

It sounds like Armin was an amazingly grieved man. Unfortunately, a man could really want to eat someone else’s tissue. That is exceptionally abnormal. It makes one ponder regardless of whether he was brought into the world that way. I contemplate this case is that the other man, the “person in question” really assented to be eaten. That is exceptionally interesting. I think the experts settled on the correct choice in locking without end Armin, yet I do think about whether they at any point offered him any sort of physiological help while he was in jail.

I personally never felt the desire to consume human flesh, and cannot comprehend how anyone else could experience that desire. It is interesting to see how his past unfold and be able to tell what events contributed to his dark desires which led to his cannibalism. The fact that Ulla tried to convert Armin to Satanism and embrace his dark fantasies, shows that those dark urges were encouraged. If Armin did not have a dysfunctional childhood, then maybe he would have been able to develop new interests that do not involve eating other people.

This is quite an interesting article that gave me chills. The article was well-written, which every paragraph included mystery and great information to understand on what led the heinous thoughts of Armin Meiwes. The writer did a great job on how she included sensory imagery to connect the reader with the life of a cannibal to comprehend the things that we as human beings have trouble to understand the thoughts of a human flesh eater.
