Great Job! Through the amount of detail you’ve put into this presentation, I can tell you have put in a lot of effort, and it seems to have paid off. Until reading your project I knew very little about Spain during this era. I was surprised to learn that such a character existed in Spanish history. It was shocking to see that brutal photo from the Rif War. While I knew colonies under Spain were often brutal, it was still a surprising photo to see.

It’s crazy to me how Spain was able to be neutral during World War II. The whole time, it was right next to every major power during the war. I am really liking this format. I might consider a project like it in the future. I prefer it as an easier method for presenting a topic.

Enjoyed how interactive this article was Elisa! I didn’t know much about Spain’s dictator until reading your article. Which was very fascinating and informative with the use of the timeline. Especially, Franco’s authoritarian and nationalist philosophy mirrored that of Hitler’s Nazi government. Who would’ve thought that both Franco and Hitler had mutual foes, notably communism. Francisco Franco is a controversial character in Spanish history, with wildly differing viewpoints. Following the turmoil and carnage of the Spanish Civil War, Franco’s administration restored order and peace to Spain. Some Spaniards admired Franco’s insistence on protecting Spanish culture and tradition.
