Eating for a Healthier Mind

I would like to thank Dr. Lori Boies for her guidance and support throughout this project, particularly in helping me refine my ideas and approach. I am grateful for her feedback and encouragement, which helped me see the importance of this infographic and its potential to be meaningful and useful to others. I would also like to thank my friends and family for their support, feedback, and encouragement throughout the process, which made this project possible.

Brooke Chesnutt

I am an Exercise and Sports Science major with a certificate in Public Health at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. I was born and raised in Texas. After receiving my bachelor’s degree in the Spring of 2026, I plan to attend the Doctor of Occupational Therapy program at St. Augustine School for Health Sciences in Austin, Texas. My passion is helping others make small, meaningful changes that improve their day-to-day lives, and I hope to specialize in a field where this can be a daily focus. Throughout my time at St. Mary’s, I have conducted research through the Exercise and Sports Science department and have shadowed occupational therapists in a variety of settings, gaining hands-on experience in promoting health and independence. I currently work for an outpatient children and adolescent psychiatrist and have volunteered with organizations including The Madonna Neighborhood Center, Ronald McDonald House, and The San Antonio Food Bank and Food Kitchen, further developing my understanding of wellness, health, and community impact.
