Cristal Mendez

I have a passion for music and cultural history. I especially enjoy researching British punk culture, Jamaican ska music, and youth subcultures. My other calling in life is helping to empower students through their writing. I am constantly drawing inspiration from the students I tutor, as well as the history being made all around me. In my spare time (and in normal circumstances) I enjoy travelling, live music, visiting maritime museums, collecting vintage and colorful clothing, jewelry making, and sewing.
