Lungile Sakala
My name is Lungile Sakala, and I’m a St. Mary’s University student graduating in the Class of 2029, majoring in Nursing. Being published in the StMU Research Scholars project is one of the accomplishments I’m most proud of. Writing this article allowed me to highlight the strength and resilience of the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion, but it also helped me grow as a writer, a researcher, and a student.
I’m genuinely happy to share this work because it represents my voice, my effort, and my passion for telling stories that deserve recognition. This project pushed me, inspired me, and reminded me that I’m capable of more than I sometimes give myself credit for. I hope my work encourages others to learn about overlooked history and to keep exploring the stories that shape our world.
