The sheer scale of the Second World War and the scope of loss incurred from the major battles is sobering to learn about. From the blitzkriegs of 1939 to the landings in Iwo Jima and Guadalcanal the sheer scope of this conflict is that which I pray mankind will never experience again. This timeline format brings ease to the education of this important topic and I find that invaluable.
