Hi Brianna! I am really glad that your infographic talked about this severe issue of depression, especially among teenagers. This has been affecting many teens, and have lost their lives because of this. Your infographic should really be displayed in schools and other institutions to showcase that there is help. Such a great infographic, Brianna!

This infographic does a great job of combining a relatively more wordy definition at its beginning with graphics heavy sections towards the middle in a way that meshes the information very well. By providing us with a definition of depression followed by a few statistics on its prevalence and then symptoms, you are helping potentially at risk viewers to consider the possibility that they might need help. Following this up with diagnostic resources and the final treatment recommendations is very helpful for those who might be struggling and not know about clinical depression or treatment methods.

Thank you for going into detail on the subject of Depression and its affects on American teens across the nation. Mental Health concerns are on the rise and a record number of teenagers are openly talking about how unhappy, lonely, and miserable they feel, and a growing amount are being diagnosed with depression. It is thus important for society to look into this issue and understand the underlying causes and symptoms of it. As someone who has dealt with depression, it is best alleviated by understanding and support, and your article helps foster such things greatly. Again, thank you for your great work!

This infographic was thorough and well-organized. While the topic of this infographic is heavy, the information was very straightforward, making it easy to read and understand. Most importantly, it is very informative on an issue that affects millions of people but receives little attention. I like how it covers basic understandings of depression as well as statistics about teens with depression.

This infographic is a visually compelling and informative piece that effectively addresses a crucial mental health issue among adolescents. The organization is outstanding, guiding the viewer through the content with ease and ensuring a coherent flow of information.
The color palette is appealing and well-thought-out, setting a suitable tone for the topic while maintaining visual clarity. The choice of fonts is appropriate, contributing to the overall impact and professionalism of the infographic. However, the font size could occasionally be increased to improve readability and accessibility for the audience.
The selection of icons is impeccable, enhancing the infographic’s visual appeal and reinforcing the key messages. These icons effectively illustrate important concepts and add to the overall effectiveness of the design. Well done!

As someone who has had friends and family who have suffered from depression I truly appreciate this infographic because it does a wonderful job of establishing how big of an issue depression is. Not only does it do a great job of showing how big the issue is, but it also helps people recognize how they could potentially spot depression in others which is a very good skill to have.

Your article on depression is refreshingly straightforward and informative. While many articles tend to be long-winded, you managed to convey the most important points through a single visual. It’s truly disheartening to learn that such a young age group is disproportionately affected by this issue, particularly when there is such a significant divide between the impact on women and men.

With the effects that the world has had on teens and everyone. It has put everyone in a position that has not only impacted them emotionally; but physically as well. Everyone gets upset once a while, but others go through a rough patch. Depression has been more common. It is especially found more in teens. They get affected by their modes, food appetite, memory, and many more things. It is hard to cope, and it is hard to treat. If the person is willing they can go to therapy to cope, have medication, and even have family counseling to understand their struggles. It is hard to move on from the past; that is why when the family notices a struggle in someone it is important to talk and help them cope. As a community we need to show support, love, and have a way that we could help others and family members in need. We need to understand the importance and the crucial reason why depression is a struggle and how we could solve it.

I love the color choice, the formatting of the overall infographic, the text fonts, and the emoticons. I think this infographic layout was very well thought-out and displays the information in a manner that is readily and easily accessible to easy. In terms of information, I thought it was interesting to see the statistical difference between male and female adolescent depression in teens and how the percentage of the population seen in both a percentage and a number shows just how depression is truly an epidemic.

    Hey Brianna,

I really like how this infographic is organized. I like how you included the definition of what depression is since it is a serious problem that a lot of people deal with and should be made aware of. Your use of colors is really eye catching. Including the symptom section is a nice detail because it helps make people more aware of whether they might be depressed and also gives signs to look for in other people. Thankfully there are treatments for depression, and I like that you dedicated a section demonstrating some of the treatment options. Good job.
