Congratulations, Aileen, on your publication. I really liked your infographic and how you focused specifically on food insecurity in Texas. It was interesting to see the facts on which ethnicities struggle the most with food insecurity. I really liked how, in the section on “what we can do,” you mentioned looking into unemployment. I would have liked to see a little more information on it, but the infographic was excellent. Your infographic design was neat and tidy. Congratulations once more.

This infographic was so easy to follow and nice to look at. it drew me in and made me want to read the rest. I love the depictions and how they pair nicely with the rest of the publication. I believe that this is an important topic that deserves to be talked about and i must say that you did it tastefully! congratulations!

Many struggle to have security in their homes when it comes to food. Some don’t have the means and access to be healthy, to feed everyone, and to be able to help everyone. When there is a lack of food it could cause damage in more than one way. If we are willing to share, speak up, and find ways to help those that need food and those who lack food; we would be able to make the community a healthier place for everyone.

Food is the one thing you would hope people never have to struggle for as it is a basic human thing but the reality is that people do. The lack of food causes more damage than you think. I really enjoyed reading this and felt it was very informative and allowed me to understand more about this situation at hand! Great work

Food insecurity is a topic that needs to have its light shed on it as conversations need to start to make a change. Many individuals take food for granted and often waste good food, but many families all over the world are struggling. Inflation does not make it easy to buy healthy foods as that or even food at all as everything is so expensive. Health issues can arise due to the issues that food security can have on someone. Great colors, and imagery and I wish there would have been more of a compelling title or image. However, I do enjoy the message.

Having volunteered with the San Antonio Food BAnk, it is insane to see how prevalent issues such as this are in our community. I appreciate that your infographic points out that issues such as this disproportionately affect communities of color, a fact all too present in San Antonio today. Great job highlighting this huge issue facing our society and congratulations on your nomination.

It’s unfortunate that inflation has become one of the primary reasons why many can’t buy healthy food, especially in recent years. I thought this graphic on food insecurity was good but could use more information. I thought that it was easy to read, looks nice and clean, and had nice graphics, but the information was a bit few and far between. That being said, I enjoyed what I read because we have an obligation to fight food insecurity in Texas since it is such a prevalent issue for the people of our community.
