Food Insecurity

I would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Lori Boies for such a wonderful class in Fundamentals of Epidemiology to be able to obtain my certificate in public health.

I thought this graphic on food insecurity was good but could use more information. I thought that it was easy to read, looks nice and clean, and had nice graphics, but the information was a bit few and far between. That being said, I enjoyed what I read because we have an obligation to fight food insecurity in Texas since it is such a prevalent issue for the people of our community.

Even though talking about food insecurity is always depressing, I’m glad you did in your infographic because it’s an issue that everyone needs to be aware of. It has an impact on families and children everywhere, but it was interesting to see how much it has an impact on people in Texas, which is just tragic. It’s unfortunate that many families suffer through this and that the costly expense of nutritious food goes unrecognized, which is why these problems persist and can even trigger additional health-related problems.

Such a cool infographic. I think you did a great job with the images and detailed work. Your infographic is full of great information and I learned a lot from it. I think it is interesting that with just the right food it could have a pretty big impact on your health. I think you did a great job with this and congratulations on your nomination.

Beautifully done infographic, and an important one too. I had no idea that so many Texans experience food insecurity, and that’s just in this state alone that the statistics were available on. This is truly a pressing issue today, so well done on your project focusing on the topic. Congratulations also on your nomination.

Awesome, You have identified the best topic, Almost everywhere there is Food insecurity. Like in Texas Hispanic and the Black are affected more which means they are taking inadequate amount of food which in result in Pregnancy complications which I hate the most that at least pregnant ladies should be given some space and rights rather than spending on other un-necessary things.

Congratulations on your nomination. I haven’t really heard about this particular topic, but it was interesting to learn about. It was interesting to see the chart of percentage and how different races were affected. Looking at how it can impact someone’s mental and physical health I realized how serious this problem could be. Overall, this was very informative. Good job!

By far one of the most easiest infographics I have read. This is my first time reading an infographic and I found this to be an easy read because of how neatly organized this is, and the pictures used are really nice and pretty. Congratulations on your nomination! I hope all goes well.

This was a very well-written infographic and it’s an interesting topic that was chosen. It’s unfortunate that many families experience this and it goes unnoticed how high the cost of healthy food with nutritional value is which is why these issues persist and even lead to other health-related issues. Overall, a very informative and well-put-together infographic.

Food insecurity is always a sad topic to discuss but I am glad you discussed it in your infographic because it is a truly important subject that the population must know about. Not only does it effects families and kids nationwide but it was interesting to see how much it effects people in Texas which is just heartbreaking. The fact that food insecurity mostly effects minorities is also a horrible fact as well and I am glad your infographic did such an amazing job of raising awareness to these issues.
