Wow taylor! Great job on this infographic! When it comes to nutrition in college, it is always an afterthought for me, so this really gave me a reality check to be more aware of what I am consuming. I love how you acknowledged what you can and can’t control, which I found very useful. I never really thought about how much nutrition impacted my immune system and why it takes me so long to recover from being sick. Overall super informative, especially as a college student!

Hello Taylor,
It took an entire class to learn about nutritional habits, yet this infographic effectively summarized an entire semester’s worth of material. I believe I am among the 89% of the student population who do not consume enough fruits and vegetables, as I typically prefer eating grains such as rice instead. I appreciated the examples you provided regarding how deficiencies in certain nutrients can affect health. However, I would have liked to see a comparison between food swamps and food deserts.

Hi Taylor! Thank you for your infographic on college students and the dietary guidelines we are not meeting, I live on campus here at St. Mary’s and are a regular at the rattler cafe, although the cafe more often than not provides a diverse range of options, I am still constrained by whatever is on the menu that day, thank you for your infographic, they should put it at the cafe to raise awareness.

Hello Taylor,
I think your piece is amazing, it brings light to a topic that some people may sometimes push aside. Having your nutritional needs met is sometimes hard but extremely important! Thank you for shining light on this topic and framing it as a way students can find accessible. AMAZING JOb

Hello, Taylor! Your title hooked me because, as an on-campus resident of St. Mary’s, I have realized that I am not hitting all my nutrient goals. The cafe is an amazing place, for sure, but being unable to decide what to make for yourself and only being able to choose from a set menu every day has its dietary limitations. Your section on “what you can control vs. what you can’t control” is very helpful for people in my circumstances, and I’ll definitely be thinking about it next time I’m at the cafe.
