THE HEALTH RISK OF FAST FOOD

Acknowledgments:

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Boies for her invaluable guidance in shaping and refining my infographic. Without her insightful feedback, I would not have been able to publish it. I also extend my thanks to my friends and classmates whose thoughtful opinions helped strengthen and enhance the quality of this infographic. Lastly, I want to recognize the effort and time I dedicated to creating this infographic. As my first publication in the StMU Research Scholars, this project represents a significant milestone in my academic journey.

I was born and raised in Honduras before moving to Dallas, TX at the age of 14. Currently, I am a computer science student with a strong passion for mathematics and drama. After graduation, I plan to pursue a master's degree in either Performing Arts or Finance. While studying at St. Mary's, I am an active member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. As a first-generation student, the journey has not always been easy when you're not born into privilege, you often have to work twice as hard to achieve your goals.

This infographic was super eye-opening. I knew fast food wasn’t great for you, but seeing the actual numbers—like over 2,000 mg of sodium in one meal—is crazy. I also didn’t realize how much it ties into bigger issues like heart disease and mood changes. The healthier choice tips at the bottom were actually helpful and feel doable. Great job overall!
