Nomination-Timeline

This was a very interesting timeline to read through. It is certainly interesting to see how Forensic science has grown over the last couple of centuries. How we have gone from simple techniques to algorithms written to wear a hand-drawn sketch can be matched to the face of an individual. It is crazy to see how even if we think we leave no trace there is still some sort of evidence. Certainly a very well-written and thought-out timeline.

Your comprehensive timeline of the scientific history of forensics is impressively detailed. The layout is reader-friendly and thoughtfully organized into distinct sections for easy navigation. Learning that forensics traces back to the early 1800s through the work of a German chemist was eye-opening, and the insights on gunshot residue and fingerprinting added further intrigue. Your thorough research shines through in this exceptional piece of work!

I really enjoyed this timeline, as it was in-depth, interactive, and very interesting. I found the use of the colors and graphics great for grabbing the reader’s attention and keeping them intrigued. I also liked how in-depth everything is explained, even explaining what arsenic is in case the reader is uninformed on the subject. This timeline would also be great for younger people to gain an interest in forensic science.

This is really well thought out timeline. As someone who wanted to major in forensics I find it very fascinating that the methods and technology we used today for crime scenes steam from a long line of deep rooted history that started out what we know today. Can’t wait to see what other projects you put out in the future.

This infographic tells a fascinating story of technological advancement! Forensics have come far since 1800 and the beginning of these innovations. The use of several types of DNA, weapon identification, and the development of crime labs have contributed to solving millions upon millions of crimes and cold cases with each new advancement. I certainly look forward to future advancements thanks to this infographic. Congrats on your nomination!

Great work! The science of forensics is an integral part of modern investigation tactics. While not perfect, without such methods, modern criminal justice would practically be in the Stone Age and much less fair and accurate than it is today. For this reason, I find it interesting to learn from your timeline about the origins of this science. It caught my eye to learn from your presentation that some of the earliest scientific developments were actually over chemical testing. I had assumed that such a development would have come much later in this timeline.
