I really liked seeing about the beauty of Zimbabwe, I was surprised to learn they had waterfalls. I really liked reading about the lunar rainbow, I wish I could see something like that here. I think turning the text blocks into something more readable would’ve been really great for the infographic, but this looks great either way! Good job.

Your infographic hits on so many of the cultural elements of this incredible country. In our studies we usually focus on politics, economics, violence, and other difficult topics. We don’t get to talk about the wonders of the world or sports or festivals. I thought this was such a fun and hopeful way to talk about Zimbabwe, even if there are struggles.

Hello Carollann,
The Victoria falls being a seven wonder of the world is quite magnificent for Zimbabwe to have. The amount of beauty that is captured in the photos that are within your infographic are beautiful, but I know it is probably not doing any justice as if you were to go in person. Although for having such a beautiful natural environment it still does not take away from the control on the political climate and the challenges the Christian church faces. The development and growth that seems to be increasing each year with soccer and cultural heritage has continued to boost the economy of Zimbabwe; a step in the right direction is needed to monetize on the wonder and boost the surrounding resources to keep citizens and other afloat. How long would it take for Zimbabwe to pre-covid numbers in tourism?

What surprised me most about this country is that this is where the Lunar Rainbow can be seen during the Fall! The best part of this infographic was the “In The Name of Faith” slide. The breakdown between who practices the type of religion and how it inspired education and social development with a focus on converting the youth for involvement to succeed in the future. Yet, participating in cultural imperialism that keeps them in touch with their past. Excellent job.

You captured my attention quickly when you mentioned the Victoria Falls. It is stunning and deservedly should be one of the wonders of the world. Your other pictures and graphics were nicely presented as well.
When you mentioned President Mugabe being under house arrest, I quickly went to the Internet to see why. The military took over and gave no reason, aside from him being 90-years old and has been in office since 1980. The article I read, said his wife (41 years his junior) may replace him. My radar went off and thought to myself, there is your culprit. It is my suspicion she is behind his arrest. She has been speaking publicly for him. Some people like her, while others do not. I am posting the video I found. I think you will find interesting.

I always felt like Zimbabwe was always kind of the underdog in beautiful sights to see. Places as like mention, Victoria Falls, are like the places I yearn to see due to their beautiful views and well, geography. I never knew Zimbabwe had a football/soccer team though which is also neat. Probably shoul include maybe more geographic features, but I think it still looks all good!

Something I learned about Zimbabwe that surprised me is that one of the seven wonders of the world is a waterfall in Zimbabwe called The Victoria Falls. The best part of this infographic is the layout, I thought it was super easy to read and follow along. I also like that there were different sections and subheadings. This was a great infographic, amazing job!

What surprises me is that Zimbabwe’s political context does not allow for the practice of Christianity, despite my expectations of more religious freedom. The growth and development portion was my favorite part of this infographic because I knew so little about Zimbabwe, especially its cultural legacy.
