Letting go of social media was the best decision. Though Youtube is still a big part of the day, I often see people fidgeting and looking at their phones every 3 seconds like a drug addiction. They feverishly look at posts of traumatizing news events or look at the most photoshopped picture I have ever seen, maybe even gossiping with a person next door. It saddens me truly to see so many suffering, acknowledging their problems, and doing mostly nothing about it. Thank you for making this!

wow. Im definitely not in the suggested number of minutes per day of social media. I think this is a great topic to discuss and research. I think while reading this I ha a lot of self reflection. I feel I am less motivated when I am on social media to much but I never thought that if I was addicted that it would have such a huge effect on my brain.

Great job Yairy! You have fantastic attention to detail. The infographic looks beautiful and is organized clearly. It is always necassary to have a reminder to put the phone down a little more often. The biggest thing you pointed out that I think is overlooked is that people do things despite knowing that it is not good for them. That is definitely true for social media. Very helpful statistics and information. Good work!

Such an exceptionally amazing infographic! I absolutely love the colorway chosen for this infographic. The information given does an amazing job of educating the audience about this topic which is incredibly important in today’s society. The challenges discussed in this infographic are certainly ones that we can overcome if we work together. This infographic and its information was one of the best I’ve seen in this category. Great job!

Hi Yairy! I found your infographic very informative. Sometimes we do not realize how much we use technology and are on social media. As for myself, I am not going to lie that I like scrolling and looking through Tik Tok. Even though technology can be addicting, I still set boundaries for myself and prioritize my schoolwork more than anything.

This infographic brings to light a very real problem that plagues most of our youth. Admittedly, I spend a lot of my time on my phone or on video games, but not necessarily social media. Nonetheless, I love how you brought forth real statistics that relate to each and every one of us that use social media. In addition, I think the color scheme and organization is very well done. This is an excellent infographic!

Hi Yairy! This is such a great infographic on such an important topic! Social media usage has become an epidemic, making many younger generations depend on and become addicted to social media apps. I hope this infographic reaches the audience of many and read about the implications of this phenomenon. Overall, great infographic and has great structure, I really enjoyed reading it!

Remarkable, that is the only word that can describe this article. It is one of the best of its kind in it the respective section hands down. I look forward to reading more from them in the future and hope they can write about different topics that would be equally interesting. I especially liked the part where they discussed. It is scary to think of how much time we spend on these different platforms and how detrimental it time can be for our health.

I think you chose a great topic because this is definitely a big issue across the world that many of us don’t think too much about when we are using social media. Personally, when I am on my phone I don’t think of the hours I am scrolling I am just passing time. Sometimes it comes to the point where I pass too much time because I get sucked into one app for an extensive amount of time. Seeing these numbers truly makes me think about the time I spend on my phone and each platform I am on. The research you provided was great and I loved learning all the facts and new numbers. One thing that really caught my eye is the recommended use is only 30 minutes yet we usually surpass that greatly, which is crazy.

I enjoyed reading this because I truly believe I am somewhat addicted to social media. It was interesting to learn that teenagers and young adults who are addicted to social media end up having depression. I do not feel this way about my use of social media because I mostly use it to see what family are up to since most don’t live in San Antonio. The What can I Do section was very helpful! Thank you!
