Hello Rihanna, Congratulations on your award! Your infographic was very educational, and I appreciate that you chose this subject because college students are now more likely to experience depression. I appreciate you outlining the signs so they can be identified quickly and people can receive treatment. The infographic’s layout was also very tidy and structured, and everything was clear and straightforward to read.

First, I just want to say what a good job you did at tackling a serious, and pertinent, topic to our current lives. This infographic, unlike many others, was extremely focused on bringing forth facts and outlining the topic at hand with an abundance of information. This has information that was deeply informative, and I really enjoy that about your infographic. On the other hand, it seems like the creative design and aesthetics of the graphic were much less than the information. For me, this is no problem because I believe the information is most important, but for others I believe they would think this is relatively bland in design. I think the single addition of small icons and graphics across the graphic would spruce the entire thing up a bit. In any case, you should be proud of this infographic for its accuracy and information!

It made me happy to see that people care about mental health issues and are talking about them. Thank you for bringing this article into the open for everyone to see. My favorite part was the resources to help people. The symptoms are also very common in many people and they need to know that they might have depression to be able to heal and take care of themselves. I think that mental health is one of the most important things that humans need to take care of to feel good and have a better and more relaxing life.

Hello Brianna! I think this infographic really captures the foundational aspects of teen depression. I enjoy that you mentioned the diagnostic tools and types of treatments that exist. When dealing with depression, I think it is crucial to consider that everyone deals with things in different ways. I also enjoy the symptoms mentioned because depression can manifest in different ways as well. I can also appreciate the wording in regard to the diagnostic tools and treatment options. In our society, depression has many stigmas along with mental health in general. I feel that this infographic is one that destigmatizes mental health and provides actual information. Good job!

Depression runs within my family, and seeing how common it is in such tweens and teens is interesting. Also, I like the way the infographic is structured and that it defines the illness, gives statistics, and then gives the symptoms. Including diagnostic tools is an excellent touch on helping those determine if they or a loved one is struggling with depression.

This article was well written Rihanna. As someone who’s been here and understands it’s a beautiful thing to see such a serious topic be advocated and get the recognition it deserves. Depression is real not even just for teens but for all people. The numbers of death relating to this illness has increased so drastically yet no advocation to stop these numbers has happen. This poster should be pasted in pubic places in schools and outside world in order to remind people to seek help and that options are available. A good addition that would help would he adding places or numbers to talk to people. Something I think should be free or at least lower cost it therapy. When i attended it was 120$ per session even after insurance so making it more affordable through government funding would be appreciated by all I would assume.

Rihanna congratulations on your award. You deserve it. I love the layout of your article. I’ve never seen anything like this before on the website. It makes me happy seeing someone talk about depression. I know it could be hard for people to but if we talk about it more the better we can help and make it known that its ok. I like how you put what treatments there are to help you.

Hi, Rihanna I really like your infographic and the many preventives for identifying depression. I also really enjoy how you put many methods not only survived in the individual that is suffering from depression but also involving the family in solving the issue that the ridge was going through. I also thought it was really important that you added statistics not only phycological information about the population.

Your infographic honestly has so much information that is often overlooked. I loved how you not only gave information on depression itself but you also gave useful resources. In todays world depression is gaining more attention and isn’t something people are afraid to talk about anymore. It was a great idea to base it mostly around teens and college kids. Congratulations on your nominations, it was definitely earned.

I personally love this info-graphic. It was so well put together and it was very straightforward with the perfect amount of information available. Depression is such a sensitive topic to talk about, but you did an awesome job showing the symptoms and the statistics of it. Depression is such a widespread issue, particularly with high school and college students, so it’s a good thing you shed some light on this topic. Congrats on the nominations and good job!
