Devil’s Advocate: A Conversation with Al Capone

My podcast video centers around the roaring twenties, taking place after the implementation of Prohibition during a consumerism high in the U.S. and at the cusp of economic detriment that took place during the Great Depression. The video captures a conversation with Al Capone, a figure of organized crime at the time due to Prohibition. Through the use of AI tools in research, image creation, and narration, this video dedicates its creation to personifying Al Capone and the impaired perception of the law at the time that many citizens adopted in rebellion against Prohibition.
  • Script Development: Utilizing ChatGPT and Claude, I created a script for the podcast that captured Al Capone’s criminally-driven personality, as well as incorporating key elements of the time period and the reasoning behind them. Through alteration and requesting the script to be more human-like, I was able to produce a conversational script.
  • Audio and Music Creation: Utilizing ElevenLabs, I was able to create an audio narration of the interviewer and Al Capone, conveying personality and key information. The jazz music produced by Filmora sets the mysterious scene for the conversation, including the detail of Jazz being on the rise at the time.
  • Visual and Character Creation: In order to visually convey the nature of the podcast conversation, I utilized MagicStudio to conceptualize the conversation.
  • Editing and Assembling: Ultimately, I used Filmora to combine the podcast components and construct images to align with the conversation.

By combining ChatGPT, Claude, MagicStudio, and Filmora I was able to create a captivating podcast that encapsulates Al Capone and his role in organized crime during the Prohibition era to further educate viewers and listeners to a key component of the roaring twenties and mass consumerism at the time.

This podcast video sounds incredibly creative and engaging! I love the idea of using AI to bring Al Capone to life and explore how Prohibition shaped public attitudes toward the law. It’s a unique way to dive into the Roaring Twenties and connect history with modern storytelling tools. Great concept and execution—can’t wait to see more!

This podcast does a great job capturing the complexity of the Roaring Twenties, especially the rise of organized crime during Prohibition. Hearing from a recreated Al Capone really brought to life how blurred the lines between crime and survival became for many Americans at the time. The video highlights how consumerism and rebellion against the law shaped the era’s culture. It’s a fascinating and creative way to explore how prohibition fueled underground empires and shifted public attitudes toward authority.
