This infographic does a great job of showing how high blood pressure often goes undetected but can lead to severe health problems if it’s left alone. What stood out to me most was how this issue ties into broader community health because hypertension does not affect all groups equally. Black Americans have higher rates and often face more severe consequences, partly due to social factors. Seeing this as a Black American makes the issue feel especially important and shows why education and access to care are so critical. One way the infographic could be improved is by adding a timeline or chart showing how blood pressure changes over time to help readers better understand risk progression.

Although a common problem, hypertension proves to be a chronic problem in society especially here in Texas. I love how you incorporated a chart with some statistical data highlighting how much of a problem hypertension is in Texas compared to the United States. Your infographic was also simple, easy to understand, and very informative as far as delivering the message of the dangers of hypertension. Overall, a great infographic!

Hello Teresa! I found interest in your infographic because I’ve always heard the term high blood pressure as well as hypertension and did not know exactly how it was controlled through medications. You efficiently explained what diuretics, beta blockers and angiotension receptor blockers do within the body to combat hypertension. Since this medical condition can likely go unnoticed for an extensive amount of time, knowing the other medical conditions you listed can help bring aware that it is a possibility.
