Very interesting to learn about LULAC as we have classmates who have been involved in that space as well as us learning about Choco Meza and her fight for equality for Latinos when it came to districts and adequate voting representation. It’s nice to know this information in such a Latin/Hispanic populated city like San Antonio, LULAC impresses me because of there victory’s in court as well as how well known they are around my campus.
This is a very good infographic, Ana. Although I do wish there was more information on the cases or just a brief summary about them and how it affected latinos. Loved the fact that you are talking about LULAC, but as someone who has never heard of it, I wish there was more background information.
I would like to see more information about LULAC and the specific challenges of the Latino community. I think this infographic is a good starting point but there is some information missing. Based on the title it appears to focus on the struggle of the Latino community but I don’t get that based on the information presented in the infographic. I’m genuinely confused but it looks nice!
The infographic of The Struggles of the Latino Community: LULAC was informative. The six cases that were heard at the Supreme Court demonstrate the need for LULAC and continued advocacy. I enjoyed the historical information on how LULAC was created by 4 organizations and now has over 1,000 council members. It is important to observe how LULAC continued to advocate for more effective policies regarding discrimination and education. Good job Ana.
Wow! I did not know about the League of United Latin American Citizens and their contribution towards Latino rights. I find it inspiring that there are 1,000 councils fighting for better education and overall quality of life for Latinos. Civic liberties should be available for everyone regardless of their ethnicity and LULAC is a great driver for this mission.
I felt that this infographic could have had more information, at least about the Supreme Court cases. It would have been interesting to read about something specific LULAC has done to help Latino advocacy, so that one might obtain an idea of the significance or impact of their work. Otherwise, this was good for presenting general information on one advocacy group.
Ana, I think it’s important to highlight how important LULAC is to our Latino community. They’ve done so much work to bring progress to our community. I appreciate you citing cases that they assisted with, because it will allow me to look further into how they helped out.
Hello, Ana! I have never heard of LULAC but I think it’s really interesting that it is an amalgamation of multiple organizations! I don’t think that this is something that you see too often and clearly appears to be super affective! I love that they have ad and been able to facilitate real world change through the multiple supreme court cases that were mentioned in your infographic. This is one of the infographics that I’ve seen that’s highlighted a group or organization that has and continues to make substantial and significant change not just in the United State, but in multiple parts of the world. Very well done!
I loved the dark pink background and the white boxes with information on top. It really made everything pop. I really liked your subject matter and the information given. The infographic didn’t have too many visual elements, which I think helped the look of it. Keeping it simple really made everything pop and look amazing. Beautiful infographic and great job!
This was a short yet very informative survey. I feel as if the color really makes this infographic pop out a lot. There was definitely no waste of space with this infographic as the information that was used was very straight to the point and helped the reader understand the the point that was trying to be made. I have never heard of the league of united latin american citizens and I believed that this was very interesting. Other than that I thought that the use of visuals was very well done. Great Job!
