My video project centers on the American Civil War, serving as a tribute to the echoes of history and a remembrance of those who lived through one of the most defining conflicts in the United States. By combining AI tools for research, lyrics, visuals, animation, and editing, I created a historically-grounded and emotionally-compelling visual narrative.
- Script and Lyrics Development: To develop the lyrics and overall narrative tone for the music video, I used a combination of ChatGPT, Suno AI V3, and Gemini. ChatGPT helped provide rich historical context about the Civil War, while Suno AI V3 generated initial drafts of the lyrics. Gemini was instrumental in ensuring that the content remained historically accurate and emotionally resonant. This collaborative process helped me craft lyrics that felt both authentic and meaningful.
- Audio and Music Generation: Once the lyrics were refined, I used Suno AI V3 to generate the musical track. After experimenting with several variations, I selected a version that best captured the gravity, hope, and sorrow of the Civil War era. The final audio reflects the mood I aimed to convey—solemn yet powerful.
- Image Creation and Visual Accuracy: For visuals, I primarily used Leonardo AI, along with Stable Diffusion, to generate historically inspired images of soldiers, battlefields, and scenes from the era. When credits ran low, I transitioned to CGDream to complete the remaining images. All visuals were carefully reviewed and replaced when necessary—for example, I corrected uniform inaccuracies by generating new images depicting proper Union blue and Confederate grey attire.
- Image Animation and Movement: To bring life to the static images, I used keyframe animation in Canva, adding subtle movements such as zoom-ins and pans to simulate cinematic motion. This added a dynamic element to the video while preserving its historical tone.
- Final Editing and Assembly: I compiled the full project in Canva, integrating images, animated visuals, and music to form a cohesive narrative. I extended the final scenes to ensure the song reached its natural ending and polished the transitions for a smooth, immersive viewing experience.
