Nuclear technology is one of the best examples of the pull of good and bad in humanity, although helpful for many different factors of society like technological advances, the use of nuclear technology in war conflict has proven to be drastically impactful.

I like this new format! I would like to know what piece you chose to accompany the timeline. It sounds like it’s from the “Oppenheimer” soundtrack. the timeline picked up where most people left off; as their interest was piqued by Oppenheimer, they can find more information here. I am only left to wonder where particle physics could take us next.

A very well-done timeline! This timeline was certainly interesting to read through. I like how each of the scientists that were mentioned played a big role in the way nuclear energy is handled. It was neat to see how nuclear technology has evolved over the years. It is also scary to think that because of these advances in technology that we now have the power to destroy ourselves. None the less very well done.

I like the extensive detail of the timeline, especially around the development of nuclear technology around World War 2 and the Cold War. These developments really exacerbated the tensions between the United States and the Soviet Union and they allow us to understand the fear in the US and USSR of nuclear conflict. Additionally as a fan of the HBO series, I like your inclusion of Chernobyl, since that incident really shows us the importance of safety and maintenance in nuclear reactors.

It is without a doubt that the discovery and development of nuclear technology have altered the course of human development drastically. While most focus on the negative alterations this discovery has created I found your inclusion of inventions like the nuclear reactor and international cooperation such as the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty of 1968 to be a refreshing addition. Well done!
