My breaking news broadcast takes place during the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. With the help of AI, the project captures the fear, hysteria, and moral uncertainty of the time.
Script Development and Research:
I used Chat GPT and Microsoft Copilot, and I developed a historically sounding script inspired by real accounts of the Salem Witch Trials. These tools also helped me with my research on Puritan beliefs, courtroom procedures, and reactions during the trials.
Audio and Music Creation:
I used ElevenLabs to generate realistic voice performances for the anchor, field reporter, and interviewees, creating a feeling of urgency and realism in the broadcast. Background music was composed with Suno AI. I asked it to add a broadcasted feel to reflect the tense and fearful atmosphere surrounding the witchcraft accusations.
Visual and Animation:
For visuals, I used Gemini Nano, ChatGPT’s image tools, and Cap Cut AI to generate colonial-inspired scenes, such as the interviews with Nurse and parchment-style name titles. These visuals helped me recreate the tone of a 17th-century news report while also keeping historical authenticity.
Editing and Assembly:
Using DaVinci Resolve and Cap Cut, I synchronized the audio, visuals, and text animations to create a live broadcast aesthetic. The editing process brought the narrative together in an engaging format.
By combining ChatGPT, Copilot, ElevenLabs, Suno AI, Gemini Nano, Cap Cut, and DaVinci Resolve, I created a historically inspired multimedia project that truly captured the intensity of the Salem Witch Trials and shows how fear and faith shaped justice in early colonial America.
