Great infographic! I like how well organized and how you have explained in detail what food insecurity is and ways to help. It provides an easy flow to follow. The graphics providing the statistics allows a visual aid to show exactly the issue. Great job overall!

This is such an informative infographic. It is crazy to think how when we think of food insecurity we just think of the homeless or poor not having food, but there is plenty of cases where many families cannot afford healthy food as it is so expensive. I work at HEB so I deal with a lot of people who use programs such as SNAP or WIC and it is disheartening to see that when hey don’t have enough they have to put some of the healthier food back. Overall this was a great topic to cover and I think the infographic looked great.

Congratulations on being nominated for an article award. This post was so beautifully written and fascinating to read. This page has an astonishing quantity of specific information. Food is essential for the health and strength of our bodies. Food is a necessity for life and is needed. If not available, it could result in issues and have detrimental effects in many different ways. Some people lack access to food or the means to buy it. Helping those in need is worthwhile and doable. I really adored the pictures you chose, which perfectly complemented the narrative you were presenting. I really appreciated how well-organized you were; it made the reading interesting for me.

It’s great that you provide examples of organizations and initiatives that help those facing food insecurity. I believe food is essential for our health and well-being, and it’s important to help those who struggle to access it. Donating, raising awareness, and fundraising can all make a difference in supporting those in need. In conclusion great job!

Loved your infographics and the design! This information truly provides what everyone should know about food insecurity and how it has become more of a problem. The problem doesn’t get addressed which causes a bigger thing, when it should be addressed to be able to make a change within the community. Great information about this!

Hello! Congratulations on the nomination! I like the approach taken on this topic. More specifically, the idea of providing healthy foods rather than enough food. I feel as though mistaking enough food for healthy food is extremely common and concerning. Everyone should have access to healthy foods not just those who can pay extra for it. I also appreciate the “What Can You Do?” section. This particular sections acts as a call to action and is a great way to end an infographic. Great job!

Seeing the cycle of hunger was very disheartening and the percentages of Bexar County were possibly even more. We might think that we are very progressive as a city and don’t have these kinds of issues, but this was very eye-opening. As a volunteer at the San Antonio Food Bank, I appreciate the outreach that you’ve given in this infographic. I will be checking out the other organizations you’ve mentioned.

While this wasn’t my favorite design for an infographic when compared to others on the site, I will say this is probably the best at using statistics to better the information. Seeing numbers and visual aids can really sell the size of a problem, which I feel this infographic does very well. It was also very easy to read.
