I think that if more households were honest with themselves they would agree that most homes are not receiving the necessary nutrients to be healthy. There are some people that would rather starve than be able to afford their other needs and this is not good. I like the addition of the programs to help, however I think the best solution is proper education on nutrition and healthy living habits.

Congrats on your nomination! With the help of a creative and interesting infographic, the subject of food insecurity is brought to light, along with its effects on San Antonio in particular. It draws attention to the intricacy of the cycle of hunger and offers instances of organizations and initiatives that assist those who are facing food insecurity. Overall, great job!

Food is something that is needed for our bodies to be healthy and strong. Food is an essential part of life that is needed. It could cause problems and have negative impacts in many ways if not available. Some don’t have food or the resources to acquire it. Helping the ones that struggle is important and it could be done by donating, informing, and by mankind fundraisers to help those that lack and need help in food.

This infographic does an excellent job of describing food insecurity and how it affects people throughout their lives. It was excellent to provide the backdrop of food insecurity in San Antonio because it really hits close to home, and knowing/where to go to assist out was a terrific addition! Personally, I like the infographic layout; I just wish there was a more consistent color scheme, but that’s just me being picky. Overall, fantastic work!

I had heard of food insecurity before seeing this infographic, but I was unaware of all the additional negative impacts it may have or the sheer number of people it affects today. This infographic, in my opinion, is absolutely outstanding since it does an excellent job of defining food insecurity and goes to great efforts to explain to the viewer what they can do to help address the problem. It connects to civic participation because it demonstrates how citizens from all around the country may contribute to the solution of a situation like this.

This infographic brings attention to food insecurity and particularly its impact on the city of San Antonio, making the issue feel personal and close to home in a unique and engaging way. It highlights the complexity of the cycle of hunger and provides examples of programs and organizations that help those experiencing food insecurity. The only area for improvement I would like to suggest would be to use more inclusive language instead of the term “poor.” Overall, however this infographic is informative and effective in raising awareness about food insecurity in the community and the world.

I really enjoyed reading this infographic, I especially liked how an emphasis was placed on the fact that food insecurity also means a lack of healthy, nutritional food rather than just any food at all. I also liked how there was a focus on food insecurity in Bexar County since I feel like it’s highly overlooked especially in poorer parts of the county.

Congratulations on your nomination. I have heard about food insecurity, but I like how this goes in depth on the topic. ‘The cycle of hunger’ does a good job showing how this issue impacts everyone of all ages. Looking at the numbers, it crazy how 288,320 people in Bexar County is a victim to food insecure. I feel like this is a problem that needs to be taken more seriously.
